Last week Mr. Needlepoint and I snuck away to Positano, Italy to celebrate a wedding of our friends.
Positano is gorgeous in a rustic, unstudied way. The town is built into a hill, like most of the Amalfi Coast. Greg and I started every morning with a double espresso and then proceeded to indulge in fresh seafood and unparalleled pasta. Thank goodness Positano is lined with steep stairs, otherwise our clothes would have become quite tight.
I cannot travel without purchasing at least *one* pair of shoes, and Positano was no exception. Custom sandal makers are wedged between ceramic shops. Needless to say I arrived home with a few goodies.
Although I was delighted with my bounty from Italy I was more delighted to vacation with my husband. This summer was exciting and fun, but opening a second store was ultimately very tiring. Greg and I were not together much the past month, so a few days away in a gorgeous location was truly lovely. I am grateful.
So happy you got away to such a romantic place. So cool you met Caitlin’s little Carly. Hope to see you Saturday.
