We use only high quality leather and stitched finishing edges on all of of belts, keyfobs, straps, & hatbands. If you're looking for a specialty/exotic leather finish we can help with that, too!

What Are My Options For Leather Finishing?

Needlepoint Belts & Keyfobs are a staple in any wardrobe, women's or men's. We can also make hatbands, bag straps, croakies, or any other leather goods you might think of!

  • Standard Belt

    Our standard belt finishing includes choice of leather color and hardware color with a cost of $115.

  • Flat Or Looped Keyfob

    Great for a number of uses, keyfobs can be finished flat or looped depending on size & preference. Keyfobs come standard with a D Ring + Split Ring. Lobster Claw hardware is available, too! Prices start at $62.

  • Bag Straps

    Just like a belt, this style of finish is long and backed in the leather of your choosing. It comes standard with two lobster claws, one on each end to make the perfect detachable strap! Starts at $165.

  • Hatband

    This is the perfect finish to spice up a summer sun hat. Backed in leather with a pull through tab to secure the two ends, it is easily moved from one hat to the next. Leather hat bands start at $150.

  • Luggage Tags

    Custom Luggage Tags are eady to travel when you are - each is hand-stitched and finished with a full grain leather. Finishing starts at $150 but the final cost will depend on the size of your canvas.

  • Specialty Leather

    Looking for a specialty finish for a special occasion or gift? Any of the above options can be finished with any color alligator leather (yes, real alligator) or a fun metallic leather.

Estimated Lead Times

Standard belts & keyfobs are machine sewn and generally finished in about 12 weeks. For specialty leather (gator, ostrich, etc.) please add 2-3 weeks.

2024 Finishing Deadlines

To ensure each piece receives the love & attention it deserves, and to allow transit time before the Holidays, the deadline for Holiday 2024 is July 1st, 2024.

Where Should I Send It?

Mail your piece(s) to either Lycette Designs location:

How Should I Package It?

Please send your finishing in a box or padded mailer - rolling or placing the canvas between two pieces of cardboard is preferred. Folding your belt canvas will not damage it. We recommend securing your needlepoint in a plastic zip-loc type bag to prevent any potential water damage.

What Should I Include?

Be sure to include your best contact information in the package along with your first and last name. You can also let us know the best times to try to reach you!

You may also choose to include notes about the piece(s). Feel free to print out or reference photos, Instagram posts, etc. You should also include a measurement for the belt (see below).

How Do I Measure A Belt?

It is important to measure a belt correctly to ensure a perfect fit. We do not recommend relying solely on a number stamped inside a belt (unless that belt was finished by Lycette).

Start with belt belonging to the recipient - it does not need to be needlepoint, just make sure it is not stretchy! Measure from the start of the leather to the hole worn the most. This number is usually about 2"-3" larger than a waist size and is the number we will use!

What Happens After I've Sent It?

When your piece(s) arrives at Lycette we will contact you via your preferred method as soon as possible. Based on demand and store traffic this may take up to three days from the day you see your item's tracking update to Delivered.

When we contact you we will go over any notes that were provided, discuss finishing details, choose leather, hardware etc. From there it is off to the finisher!
