When did you first learn needlepoint, and who taught you?
Our mum taught us the basics of needlepoint because we where flying through other crafts. We are twins and the youngest of five- so she was probably trying to keep us busy. We wandered into Julie Pischke’s cute shop in the Key West with our mum one day and Ms. Pischke helped us pick out some ornaments and get started. Then we took a break until we met Mama Lycette who showed us the word of threads and stitches we could use!! Then after those project Jessica said we needed bigger projects!! And the rest is history
Who or what inspires you when it comes to needlepoint?
My mum, Jessica, Mama Lycette, Kelly (aka The Lady Derby), Miss B (the color queen), and Rudy.
The inspiration for our canvas line was Gidget- the television series and old beach movies.
What are your needlepoint ins & outs for 2026?
OUTS - needlepoint police, dull colors, and stretcher bars
INS - bright colors, sparkle threads, decorative stitches, stitching on the beach and in the pool, and always having a canvas to stitch wherever you go
What inspired you to start designing needlepoint?
Jessica really opened our eyes to fun and fresh canvas ideas! Cecily and I have always loved art, painting, anything creative and we love stitching. My mum asked if we could paint a few canvases for her and we discovered how much we loved creating our own canvases. And we realized that it’s not easy. We have an even greater appreciation for needlepoint artists now.
